Let's face it, life with kids is chaotic, messy, crazy, and oh so fun! And there is no reason a family photography session shouldn't be as well.
When I do family sessions, I'm all about embracing the chaos. Instead of pressuring your kids (and husband) into smiling into the camera, I'll use prompts to help you relax and have fun. We'll still get "smile at the camera" photos, but we'll also capture those sweet moments that display the true essence of family life with kids.

The Family Experience
A family session with me is more than just a photo shoot – it's a celebration of the unique bonds that tie your loved ones together. In every candid laugh, every warm embrace, and every shared glance, we tell the story of your family- as you are now. We will flow from the posed "everyone smile for the camera" poses to prompts and candid moments that show of your joy of being together.
We are creating wall art for your home. You want those pieces to display who you are and celebrate it. So we will laugh, play, have fun, and just enjoy the moment, ensuring we capture your family as they truly are.

Are you looking for a photographer who has experience in wrangling children, you are in the right place. As a former teacher, and full-time mama, I understand how to create an environment where children are having fun and enjoying themselves.

1. Say Hello
Once you have reached out to me, I will email you with a list of available dates and a detailed pricing guide.
When you decide we are a good fit, you will choose your date and collection. You will then receive an official session proposal. The proposal will include your contract, an in-depth questionnaire, and an invoice for your retainer.
After you have completed all the steps in your proposal you are officially booked. Now the fun part begins!
2. Schedule it
Once your session is confirmed, we will begin to plan out all the details. We will choose a location that speaks to your family and discuss styling.
You will receive detailed style guidance walking you through the ins and outs of planning your family's outfits. In addition, you will have the option of borrowing an outfit from my client for yourself. Want to purchase your own outfits? No problem! I will talk over your vision with you and provide you with a session mood board, complete with links to purchase the exact outfits you see.
3. Planning it
My goal is for you to have nothing to worry about on the day of the session! That's why we will have planned out time, location, outfits, and even those "must-have" shots you are really wanting to try.
I do recommend bring a non-messy treat (like mini marshmallows) in case I'm not enough to hold your kiddos' attention. But, hopefully, you will all be having so much fun you won't even need them!
All you have to do is come prepared to have a relaxed, fun session. I'll take care of getting you those perfect images to preserve your special memories!
4. Your Session
It's the moment you've been waiting for-gallery delivery day!
In about 3 weeks, your gallery will be ready for you to view online. All galleries are password protected, for privacy.
Your gallery will contain around 40 images to choose from and will already have your digital and print credits attached. Since you will be anxious to display these precious images of your family, you can easily customize your artwork, right from the gallery itself- getting it to you that much sooner!

Average Client Spents a Minimum of $1100
- Pre-session preparation
- Session styling and access to client closet
- Approximately an hour session at golden hour (the hour before sunset)
- Personalized slideshow to view images before choosing your images
- Personalized assistance in selecting images and artwork design
- Sessions in the Hampton Roads Area or OBX
- $300 Session fee does not include images. Client chooses an image collection and/or customized artwork once they see and fall in love with their images.

We did a family wildflower mini session and it was sooooo hot and humid that day. My hair was literally a disaster when I stepped out of the car. Justine was able to edit my hair and make it look much better and we got some super cute photos of the kids too!
