Brittany leaned in and touched her son’s nose with her fingertip, light and playful, and he relaxed right into her.

For a second, she forgot the camera was even there.

From the moment I snapped the photo, I knew I had caught a special moment. Not just the smiles, but the love that fills Brittany’s home every day. The kind that usually goes unnoticed.

My journey into becoming an Outer Banks photographer began in a moment just like this. Watching my two girls play together, wishing I could hold onto it forever. I dusted off my old high school camera, and soon other families were stepping in front of my lens too.
