Newborn Photo Session Experience

From our first chat to the delivery of your heirloom prints, I handle every detail so you can focus on your newest family member.

In a relaxed, personalized session—at home or in my studio—we highlight tiny yawns, curled toes, and sleepy stretches.

1. Connection Call

Building a strong connection with you is my priority, so I like to start things off with an optional, but highly encouraged, 15-minute connection call. This is your time to ask questions, share your vision, and learn how I'll guide you through a calm, relaxed session.

2. schedule your SESSIOn

The best time to schedule your little one's newborn session is when they are between 5 and 14 days old. Reach out prior to when they are born and update me soon after they are born for best possible availability.

3. preparing for your session

No need to worry about prepping too much. I'll provide all the outfits and props, as well as create a calming atmosphere for your newborn's session. To help ensure your baby is comfortable, you will be provided with a session prep guide, telling you exactly what essentials should be packed in your diaper bag. I'll take care of the rest, so you can relax and enjoy the experience!

4. YOUR newborn session

Your newborn will be gently posed in soft, cozy wraps or outfits chosen from my curated studio wardrobe. The session will be baby-led, focusing on capturing your little one's natural movements and quiet moments in a relaxed, peaceful setting. During family photos, I'll help guide you through every step, ensuring you and your baby feel comfortable and at ease. Together, we'll create images that highlight the uniqueness of your newborn's earliest days, preserving these moments for years to come.

5. Gallery delivery & Artwork

Your images will be unveiled in a stunning slideshow set to music, allowing you to fully experience the magic. From there, you'll choose your image collection and shop in your convenient online store to create heirlooms that you're sure to cherish now, and for years to come!

Preparing for Your Newborn Session

Getting ready for your newborn session doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. In this post, I’m sharing simple tips to help you feel confident and ready before baby’s first photo shoot, so you can relax and enjoy the moment.

My Approach

I believe newborn sessions should feel calm, gentle, and unrushed. These first days at home are like a peaceful bubble, and your newborn session should be an extension of that. My approach is baby-led, which means I follow your little one’s cues, pausing for feeds, snuggles, or soothing whenever needed. There’s no pressure for your baby to be perfectly sleepy or posed. We are documenting them just as they are in these fleeting early days.


Safety is at the heart of everything I do. I’ve completed specialized training in newborn handling and safety, so your baby is always supported with care and experience. Whether we’re working in your home or in my studio, the environment is thoughtfully prepared to keep your baby comfortable and secure.
