One of the great things about our area, is the access to stunning beaches. Although the sun doesn't set directly over the water, it does light the sky up in gorgeous shades of orange and pink, making the perfect backdrop for a session.
A bonus? If you are a military family, you can access Fort Story and have a much more private setting for your photos!

Chesapeake is home to some gorgeous park sunsets. This particular session took place at Bells Mill Park in Chesapeake, VA.
The mama-to-be was stunning as the sunlight filtered through the trees, creating a glowing background for her photographs.

Babies come at any time of the year. So sometimes you may not get all the pretty flowers you want with your session. But that's okay! When we visit places like Oak Grove Lake Park in Chesapeake, you will still come away with beautiful images you will be happy to hang in your nursery.

The Maternity Experience
A maternity session is an important part of your motherhood journey! You are celebrating the new life you are creating and your body doing amazing things! My job as your photographer, is to make you feel comfortable and beautiful, even though your final months might feel anything but.
We are creating beautiful heirloom pieces that your little one can look back on in the years to come. They will cherish being able to see how much love their family had for them-even before they could hold them in their arms. The best time to schedule a maternity session is between 28 and 36 weeks- so let's chat!

The best time to schedule a maternity session is between 28 and 32 weeks along. This is the sweet spot where your bump is cute and round and you haven't become entirely uncomfortable in your skin.
I will be there for you through every stage of the process, making your vision come to life and taking the stress away! Fill out my contact form with as much detail as you can so we can be sure we are a good fit. I typically reply within 24 hours.

1. Say Hello
Once you have completed my contact form, I will email you with a list of available dates and a detailed pricing guide.
From there, you will choose your date and collection. You will then receive an official session proposal. The proposal will include your contract, an in-depth questionnaire, and an invoice for your retainer.
After you have completed all the steps in your proposal you are officially booked. Now we get to plan your dream session!
2. Schedule it
After your session is confirmed, we will plan out all the details. We will choose a location that speaks to you and discuss styling.
You will receive detailed style guidance walking you through the ins and outs of styling for your maternity session. In addition, you will have the option of borrowing an outfit from my client. Many of my dresses are bump friendly. Prefer to purchase your own outfit? Wonderful! I will talk over your vision with you and provide you with a session mood board, complete with links to purchase the exact outfits you see.
3. Planning it
My goal as your photographer is to make this process stress free! That's why I will spend time communicating with you prior to your session, planning it out. Before your session even begins, we will have planned out time, location, outfits, and even those "must-have" shots you are really wanting to try.
All you have to do is come prepared to have a relaxed, enjoyable session. I'll take care of getting you those perfect images to preserve your special memories!
4. Your Session
It's finally here-gallery delivery day!
In about 3 weeks, your gallery will be ready for you to view online. All galleries are password protected, for privacy.
Your gallery will contain around 40 images to choose from and will already have your digital and print credits attached. Since you will be anxious to display these precious images, you can easily customize your artwork, right from the gallery itself- getting it to you that much sooner!
5. Your Photographs

The Investment Details
- Pre-session preparation
- Session styling and access to client closet
- Approximately an hour session at golden hour (the hour before sunset)
- Personalized slideshow to view images before choosing your images
- Personalized assistance in selecting images and artwork design
- Sessions in the Hampton Roads Area or OBX
- $300 Session fee does not include images. Client chooses an image collection and/or customized artwork once they see and fall in love with their images.
