Located conveniently off of 168, Moyock Farm Market makes a convenient pit stop on the way to the Outer Banks. Stop by and discover the local produce, stock up on treats, get an ice cream. And if you’re local, Moyock Farm Market exemplifies the heart of the local community. From the friendly owners and staff, to the seasonal decor, Moyock Farm Market is an essential part of the town.

About Moyock Farm Market

Moyock Farm Market is a local family-owned, working farm and farm stand. Owners Jonathan and Jamie, along with their children opened the market in 2017. It began as a humble farm stand, serving the local community seasonally. It wasn’t long before they began to thrive and grow. In 2023, they opened their market around the corner. It is a much bigger facility, complete with its own fields and even a farm animal or two!

Offerings

Moyock Farm Market is exactly what you would expect of a local farm stand. Not only do they offer seasonally grown produce, but they also support other local small businesses by carrying their goods in the shop. You can find a plethora of items in the stand. The offerings vary by season and even from week to week. But you can usually expect to find some of the following items.

  • Produce: The farm market offers fresh produce seasonally. Depending on when you are shopping, you will find corn, squash, watermelons, and peaches. They even grow their own sunflowers and pumpkins in the summer and fall!
  • Local Honey: Local honey is a mainstay at farmers markets, and Moyock Farm Market does not disappoint here! They have a wide selection of local honeys, and even some local jams and jellies.
  • Fresh Flowers: The farm market partners with a local flower farm to provide fresh bouquets through spring and summer, even into fall.
  • Local Vendors: You will find that the farm market loves to feature local vendors in their selection of products. Among the featured vendors you will find the Outer Banks Popcorn Shoppe, North End Sauce, and Ashe County Cheese.

Events

In addition to offering a large selection of products, the market is always happy to host special events and vendors. It’s not uncommon to find a food truck parked on their property; another fabulous way they support other local businesses! The library has also partnered with the market to bring story time to the farm. Owner, Jamie, also decorates seasonally. This makes the farm market the ideal place for family photos, both in the fall, and at Christmas when they have a Christmas tree lot.
